The Face Shop Hoodie Ryan Palette & Lip Tint Review

안녕하세요

Happy Sunday! I have been waiting patiently by my mailbox for this collab with The Face Shop. Not only is it Ryan but it’s super cute hoodie Ryan from Kakao Friends. For those who are not familiar Kakao Friends are adorable characters from the messaging app KakaoTalk that have taken on a life of their own. I love the detail that went into the line and I hope they would make an extension with their other characters (Neo!!). This line was pretty extensive with color corrector bars, lip products, a cushion case, and some skincare items just to name a few. I picked up the palette and one of the lip tints. I purchased everything from testerkorea.

CUTE!

Hoodie Ryan Mono Pop Eyes Palette #02: This palette was $17.73 and you get 9.5g of product and comes in two variations. I chose the warmer choice because of more unusual yellowy shade. The palette is made of a sturdy plastic with Ryan’s face molded into the front. The size is compact and would be great for travel or touch ups. Everything about this palette just makes me say AWE from the packaging to the protective plastic inside. You get 8 shades comprised of 3 shimmer/ metallic shades and 5 matte shades, the shades give a bit of kick up from the brush but don’t give any fall out during application. I use these with an eyeshadow primer otherwise they will disappear of my eyes rather quickly. The pigmentation is nice on these shadows, they feel velvety, and blend on the eye really well. There is enough variety in the palette to do an every day eye or something more dramatic, the colors build very easily.

I noticed some similarities in my collection.

Hoodie Ryan Volume Up Tint in #08 Sentimental Ryan: This tint is $7.98 for 3.5g of product. There are 4 shades and I grabbed this one because it was a unique color I don’t see as often. It is a burnt orange/ rust color that is very shiny. The claims on this product are: “It is a tint that produces a moist feeling and a clear color. It is a formulation that combines the shine of lip gloss and the color of tint. Moisturisers are kept dry without lips. Super Moisture Oil Complex Contains: Brazil Nut Oil, Sweet Almond Oil, Jojoba Seed Oil, Sunflower Seed Oil, Macadamia Nut Oil.” The formula is thicker than a tint it feels more like a liquid lipstick in consistency it also has a sunscreen scent to it. It also doesn’t really leave a stain like most lip tints do. The formula is very moisturizing to wear and on the lips sheers out to an interesting nude lip. The wear time is pretty average on this lip product.

Final Thoughts: 4/5 I think the palette is a great addition to your collection if you are looking for something that has a bit of both safe everyday colors and fun dramatic colors. They wear well with a primer and are very easy to work with. And how can you pass up that packaging? 3/5 The lip tint is like a moisturizing liquid lip instead of a tint. It is pretty average in performance but the color is interesting.
